Chedoke Trail

Average Rating:    (3.5 of 5)

The main trail is good for walking or biking. Once you get to the side trail, its the most fun. The trail keeps branching off, but they all end up in the same spot, back on the dirt road. Eventually if you follow the dirt road, you will end up in Ancaster under a bridge. You can really chose how long you want to ride for, and also how difficult you want it to be. There is a bunch more trails even further along the dirt road, i've yet to go on them though.

Trail Directions
Start at the Chedoke Golf Course. At the end of the parking lot there is a trail that heads up the moutain. This is the main trail. Once you get to the top you can turn into several side-trails. The best is to keep going on the (now) dirt road, and take the 3rd side trail entrance, where you have to go down stairs. The end of the main trail (top) is at: 43o 14.734N 79o 55.888W

Summary:
its a good practice trail for winding rooty singletrack thats not too hard but great for testing new bikes. No drops but a nice long twisty slope. Good training loops once you find them.

Recommended Route:
Park at Scenic Drive just by th Hydro towers at the lot and enter at the rocky incline, go this 1/2k and then find the stairs and thats where the fun begins. ask a rider where the big downhill is at the Iroquois park entrance at Old Mohawk Rd and take the rough way down not the pathe the walkers take.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Headwaters loop Dundas Valley

Summary:
This is a nice trail to ride hard on and not get hurt, but it's pretty fun. Don't go anytime after rain, lots of puddles. Nice area, lots of possibilities if you like exploring.
