Borden Cisim Trails

Average Rating:    (3 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 1

Canadian Forces Base Borden trails. The trails can be accessed from multiple areas, but the Trillium Trail parking lot is easiest to be found on Dieppe road.

You begin on paved way for about 4-500 meters and then you can begin chosing trails to the left or right. They range from very simple flowing singletrack to narrow weaving through trees.

There are portions called the CISM trail on the East side of cambrai road with some bigger hills, one including steps. CISM trail would be more advanced trail. Easy area to get to for those who live on the base or in town of Angus. Trails have been recently cleared of branches and obstacles at rider head height for better sightlines as of June 2015.

The trails have decent variety with a few obstacles for the more serious rider but a good pull for the average rider. Realistically if you were planning on heading to 3 Stage or Kolapor and it rained this is the place for you. It rides the best after or even during the rain. This places real claim to fame is a chance to mtn bike in World War 1 training trenches......really.....no really!!!

Recommended Route:
the trench line.....CISM trail for some climbing and descending.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Mansfield and Midhurst, Ardagh Bluffs in Barrie is a lung and quad busting grind....
