Blue Mountain Ridge

This ride can be done as a loop from Blue Mountain Village, up the Scenic Caves Road, loop around the escarpment, then decend down Snow Poke at Alpine Ski Club North chair.
This is not a terribly technical or difficult ride, but combines a some road riding (including an 18 minute hill climb up the Scenic Caves Road), high speed single track across the top of Blue Mountain all the way to Georgian Peaks Ski Club, and then, an a cool decent down a gengle ski run that can be done on a regular cross-country bike.
The hardest part about this loop is the Scenic Caves hill climb. If you want to skip it, you can park at the top of Blue Mountain South Chair Lift, or take the Chair Lift up with downhill bikers.
Elevation changes from 760 feet to 1460 feet.
Enter the single track at the top of the Blue Mountain South chair lift. Follow it along the ridge through Swiss Meadows and then to Craigleith Ski club. There are a few differnet trails, and most will bring you out to Sideroad 21. Follow it north until you see the dirt road that enters into Lora Forest. Take this road into the top of Georgian Peaks Ski Club. If you get to the chair lift, you've gone too far. Take the last dirt road to the right (South) and follow it to the the last area that opens up into a grassy field. Look for a narrow single track that takes you off into the forest again. If you've found the right trail (it's not used much) it will take you along a new ridge that's closer to the lake side of the mountain. After about 15 minutes you should arrive at the top of the Alpine Ski Club north chair. Pick your decent, and the follow the roads back to Blue Mountain village.
