Weekend Warrior Summary: Nice quick trail. Drove from Port Elgin (appx 50minute drive) to check it out and was a little disappointed in the length of the trail. Rode it in the opposite direction with no preference to relay to you, wound up packing up and doubling back to Brant track.
If I lived in Mildmay, I'd be thrilled to have it close to home but if you are coming from the south, make it a way point and drive another 20 minutes to Brant.
Could be enhanced with some small drops, step ups, ladders, etc.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Brant Track - Paisley - Late Spring through Fall
Bruce Peninsula Adventure Park - Wiarton - Late Spring through Fall.
Sawmill trails - Early to late spring & Late Fall.
3 Stage - Late Spring to Fall
Inverhuron Bike Park - Inverhuron - Late Spring to Fall

Cross Country Rider Summary: I rode this trail during a mini roadtrip in July/07
Carrick has great flowing singletrack, very little climbing / decending, very little technical challenge. All the singletrack ridden together is only about 6km, a good trail to go and hammer off a few laps after work or hit it up on the way some where like I did (on route to Brant Tract, it made a nice stop to wake up and stretch out the legs). If it was longer it would be much better. Other recommended trails in the same area: Brant Tract

Weekend Warrior Summary: First of all imba, apart from using some of there principals had very little to do with this trail and the brant tract trail. Also they weren't built by volunteers either, it was a number of individuals who worked hard in different areas all year round to build these trails and got so little recognition. and if you wonder how I know all of this go to
www.mtbthebruce.com that is me on there. It feels great to do some thing nice and then watch imba get all the credit.
