Rogers Reservoir (part of the Nokiidaa Trail System)

There are different parts to this trail-technical, a jumps area, flat and open; it's almost all single track so there is no racing. Ride south under Green Lane to connect to the Tom Taylor Trail in Newmarket.

Once a month

Summary:
This trail is a relatively easy ride. I've done it with my munchkin riding in the back seat so you know its not too rough.

Recommended Route:
Just wanted to add that you can start at Mulock Dr near Holland River and park behind the Rogers Cable building. For the GPS equipped its here: N44 02.465 W79 27.505 There are 2 trails (either side of river) that will take you north through Wesley Brooks conservation area. Here you can pick up a further trail that goes up to the Tannery Centre on highway 9. Here you have a choice of trails either side of the river which both go up to Green Lane. Primary trail continues north of Green Lane on the west side of the canal and takes you up to Rogers Reservoir and continues west of Main St North almost to Holland Landing. In fact you can cycle into Holland Landing, but I'll let you figure out how. From here you can ride on the road north to Mt Albert Road east and then pick up a rough trail on the abandoned radial railway ROW just west of Leslie St N44 06.287 W79 26.835 Follow this back south to Green Lane (east side of canal) and then back towards town. Round trip is about 20km with next to no elevation change.

Ridden Trail:
Once a week

Reviewed by: Darren , from Newmarket

Summary:
Existing trails are easy riding. Currently cutting a new trail system that starts directly behind the welcome sign. The new trails are tight winding single track with a few 3 foot drops for hucking and a log trail that's going to be a foot high and wide and travel for 40 feet with a 2 foot drop off.
A teeter totter might be built latter on.
This area has great potential because of the rolling terrain and large rocks and dead trees that can be moved or arranged into jumps, bridges or obstacles.
Help is welcome bring your tools.
This new trail "once completed" is not recommended for beginners.

Recommended Route:
Main street north to Rogers Reservoir, drive-way past train tracks.

Summary:
This trail is great for both inexperienced and experienced. Well maintained jumps, far away from private property (I think its owned by the scouts Canada or something, but they don't care).

Recommended Route:
This trail is fairly fun, but make sure to continue past Main St., after Green Lane. When you come to Main St turn right, (North, I think). Ride the road for around 40 m and then turn left and cross the road and enter through a gate. There are many trails past here, but to get to the jumps, take the first right. follow the river for a while, and soon on the right, a large clearing with well maintained jumps will appear.

Summary:
I just use this trail as a place to ride off of leslie. There is not any technical riding. There is a jump pit which is pretty crap as well. Behind the Holland Landing Library there are some okay switchbacks. That's as exciting as it gets though.

Ravenshoe
