Packed dirt track mixed with paved. Good for beginners and family rides. It is part of a whole green belt starting from Highway 7 to North of Elgin Mills.

Summary:
The trails system in Mill Pond is kind of confusing. I've managed to find a nice easy single track around the little Pond at the northern section of the park but it is very short. There are some constructions at the southern section of the park which may have shortened the trails. But by all means the whole park is very small so I don't think there are 10 km of trails there. It is basically one of those small local parks which you can take your dog out for a dumb. Once you've started to pick up your pace you'll end up at an exit. However, there are some hidden single tracks that are very tight and ‘rooty’ and as a beginner I need to walk most of them; But to best honest I’m not sure if those hidden track were even intended to be use because all of those will leads you to a dead end. Funny is even those trail leads you to no where I do find a couple of man make obstacles at some tight corners there. For beginner who wants to learn how to mountain bike, Mill Pond offers nothing different then bike path. For experience riders there are actually some sections that you may find challenging. But as I said, 20 seconds into those hidden tracks you need to turn back. It’s like building a ski jump from the roof of your house, get up, jump down, and that’s it.

If you live in the area and want to spend some time with you bike then go and check it out. If you need to drive to get there, don't waste your gas.

Summary:
Good easy trail for experienced riders. I like to take my kids there to teach them how to go off road with the bikes. Some trails are too hard for them, but it's great to test out a bike or try some new stuff and practice. It's very close to a hospital. Lol.
