Cross Country Rider Summary: Beautiful fall ride with some nice climbs and downhills. Getting torn up and rutted by ATV's in places (when is the season open on fat, lazy slobs) Recommended Route: clockwise, to save the swamp till you've done a couple laps Other recommended trails in the same area: Tower Trail for the ride back down.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Chisholm ON Canada Summary: This is an 9km trail with varied terrain. I would rate it moderate. Variety of terrain. Some good views and you pass a couple of lakes. A few muddy sections - nothing serious. Double and single track. Lots of fun! Actually billed as a hiking trail but not heavily used. Recommended Route: Head east from South River (south of North Bay) towards Algonquin park Other recommended trails in the same area: Nearby is the Ridge Trail 29 km in length. Easy but pretty. The last 5 or 6 km is on a gravel road - boring. So if you have more than one vehicle in your party, you might arrange to cut this part out - save time and energy for the other two trails in the area. Also nearby is the short but intense Tower Trail - worth the view! Perhaps some of you can climb all the way - I can't. You could do all three of these trails in the same trip. All are shown on the map of the "Forgotten Trails"
