Weekend Warrior Summary: there is such a huge varity of trails in Kanata lakes. From fast hard packed sections wich you can bomb at 35kmh , to narrow ridiculosly technical parts, with some north shore style ladders thrown in. EPIC!!!!!! you can find more info at www.mtbkanata.com Recommended Route: enter at goulbourn forced road parking lot head across the road and you'll se the trail head. Print off a map from mtbkanata.com the hardest trails are past the rail road tracks, near march road. Other recommended trails in the same area: camp fortune ski hill, calabogie ski hill

, from Ottawa Summary: man, there are some hilarious reviews of these trails on here. Anyone who thinks that these trails are only for begginers and intermediate rides obviously only rode 5% of the trails. The Dark Side, Ridge Trail, Fat Bitch, Pete's Wicked Trail along with many others are strickly for the advanced riders. Intermediates can ride them, but will be dabbing constantly. KL is an amazing trail system, and is only lacking in serious climbs. There are some VERY tricky short climbs though. Try riding up "The Descent" to see what I mean. There are over 25KM of trails here (and I have the bike computer to prove it), and it is the perfect mix of fast fun single track and harcore technical mayhem. Recommended Route: Take the south entrance to the trails on the west side of GFR. Ride everything!

, from Ottawa Summary: For a beginer like me this was a pretty fun trail to ride. Although I couldn't cut it through the mud I loved the technichal sections.I wouldn't call the whole park trail system a beginer area, it had a nice mix of everything. My advice is go with people who are about your skill level because if you don't you have trouble catching up and not gettting lost. Awseaome Trail!!! Recommended Route: Ride all the trails for the real experience Other recommended trails in the same area: Fortune

, from ottawa Summary: Lots of technical sections, once you get to the "Canadian Will Kit Section" (sometimes erroneously referred to as the "Chute") the real good stuff begins. The CWKS is the start of the "Dark side", where you will find a ton of technical delights. You are limited only by your imagination, lots of drops on and off the beaten path. Recommended Route: 417 to Terry Fox, go to goulbourn side rd, park in lot Other recommended trails in the same area: multiple, foreplay, whale

, from out west Summary: I heard some not so good things about this trail from talking with people but, I have to say I was quite impressed w/ the trail system. Lots of trails to take and some rocks and roots to add some fun to flying around these trails. I would give this 5 chilies but, I wont give it the same level as Fortune. Still a great place to come ride especially during the week. WHERE IS FOREPLAY AND MULTIPLE ORGASM? DETAILS? Recommended Route: start on the west side of goulbourn road across from the lot Other recommended trails in the same area: Fortune
