Ridden Trail: Once a week

Weekend Warrior Summary: A large tract of land with multiple single tracks that wind up and down the ridges and valleys. Some nice technical runs and some great climbs and downhills.Lower down towards the north you will encounter some easier single track beside the railway line and through cedar swaps with a number of fire roads in between. Easy to get turned around as are multiple forks and branches and I am still finding new trails after a couple of years of riding. Usually just see a couple of other riders. You can easily spend a day and never hit the same trail twice. Recommended Route: Drive north on th 5th line off of Horseshoe Valley road and park on the left at the first or second access point. This is the east site of the tract from here you can stay on the south ravines and hills or head downhill to the lower level trails.
Or you can park by the Cross Country Ski Chalet accross the road from the main Horsehoe VAlley ski club. Other recommended trails in the same area: Simcoe County Forest Off of the 8th between Bass LAke Side Road and OLd Barrie Road or kiddie corner to it off of the 7th and north of the BAss lake Side road.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Challenging climbs and descents, if you can find them. Many splits and forks, unmarked trails make navigating a challenge.
The Forest is huge so you can spend hours exploring. It's best to start at the north east corner and snake your way down to horseshoe. Use double-track to find trail openings, there are tons. Recommended Route: Look for orange tagged trails or make your own routes. Tons of choice.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Hardwood Hills, 8th line

Weekend Warrior Summary: I read the reviews on this trail and I am a bit confused. I couldn't find ANY markings on any trails. I weaved in and out of some single track without a clue of where I was. The riding was not bad but not as good as the trails in Collingwood. I wouldn't recommend going in without someone who knows the trails. Everything looks the same in Copeland Forest.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Copeland has many miles of trails and you can get lost.If you just stay on the double track then the ride is a yawner but if you take a little more time, learn the trails and stick to the single track then your in for some killer uphills and technical downs, many logs. Recommended Route: 400 north to 93 cut off, go east, first left , you will be on now a gravel road, about 10 minutes, you will past a first entrance ignore go the next one, small parking lot. Other recommended trails in the same area: Simcoe forest, 8th line past HardwoodHills.
