Highland Creek

An all paved route with a few single track side trails. Quite and with little city feel even though your in it. Rather flat at times but great for speed. Wonderful view of Lake Ontario and bluffs at the east end. Trails zig zagging in the grassy fields on the top of the bluffs. A good introduction for a friend looking to check MTBing out.

Summary:
This is a really nice trail that I used to ride all the time when I lived closer to it. It's all paved (except for a few short single paths off to the side) but is still lots of fun. There is also a dirt park near middle of the trail. I don't reccomend using it unless you are experienced. Make sure you bring water cuz it can get pretty hot down in the ravine.

Recommended Route:
The route described above is perfect.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Military Trail - This is a similar ride, but goes down to the lake and follows the Rouge River. In October and Novermber, trout come to spawn here and it is very easy to see 25 pound trout swimming up
