Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Brampton Summary: White Spruce conservation area entrance is several km's south of Heart Lakes. Follow the dirt road into the park for about 1 km, there is a gravel path to the right. Take this, stay on the ridge and take the first path branching right. Follow this through and out to the road Sandalwood parkway. Cross directly over the road and ride down the grass bank on the other side. There you will find a pathway into Heart Lake. It's a nice ride. White Spruce is free, Heart Lake costs to enter. Cheers!
Recommended Route: There is an entrance to the park from an adjacent conservation area.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from brampton Summary: Great trail! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a loose ride. Not that technical, some tricky spots though. Great for intermediates or beginners, for this is where I started mountain biking. But one thing is true, is the fact that dog walkers and others get in the way at times. Some steep descents that are easily mastered after riding once or twice. Be prepared to hike your bike ove some swampy areas that are easily crossed. I ride here about 1-2 times a week and think that it's great for preparing yourself for bigger things. Recommended Route: Keep an open mind when coming into the Heart Lake Consvation Area. Stick to the wide single lane trails. Stay in the vacinity of in and around the lake.
Other recommended trails in the same area: -belfountain, Orangeville

, from Brampton Summary: Last time I rode there I found a bunch more trails that I had not seen before. Some good technical sections with lots of roots, and a few rocks. Also some easy wide open areas as well. If you live in the Brampton area (or relatively close by) I would recommend this for a weekday training ride. (I wouldn't drive an hour for these trails). I live about a five minute ride away, so I'll be using these for a couple of rides a week on the weekdays. Overall, not as good as the awesome trails I ride on the weekends, but, like I said above, if your in the area, give these trails a try! Three flaming piles of feces. Recommended Route: Follow the directions for the entrance behind the school - there are a bunch of trails before you even get to the park Other recommended trails in the same area: Hardwood Hills, Mansfield, Waterdown, Porcupine Ridge

, from Brampton Summary: Not too bad. There are some pretty technical sections... Lot's of variety, including a beach in which you have to ride in about a foot of water if you want to get to across to a trail. Would be better if some of the routes were maintained better.....because there can be lots of vegetation. Would also be better if the place was bigger. I can ride all the trails in about an hour. Recommended Route: If you don't want to pay to get in, go to a school called Robert H. Lagerquiest on 105 Richvale Dr. You can park your car there. The Conservation Area is just behind the school past the football field. Just follow the paved path towards the forest. You will see an opening along the fence....so head in. Be careful here because there are a lot of deep ruts here, but if you go in with enough speed, you should float over them. Follow the path and this should lead you to a nice bumpy downhill and down to a little swampy area....you can cross this by hopping on the picnic table that someone has thrown in. And voila!!! You are in....and you didn't have to pay a dime.

Ridden Trail: Ridden Once

, from Toronto Summary: Pretty short but a good wet muddy trail- most of it's close to the lake and swamp. Crossing the swamp by hopping on the picnic table is a highlight. Once across, there's a treacherous steep incline. Careful or you'll find yourself in the swamp below. Further along someone has built a few jumps and obstacles- spend a few minutes going back over them more than once. There's a little bit of everything- mud, inclines, obstacles and the threat of falling into the swamp at any time. Would give it a higher ranking if you didnt have to pay $4 to use it. Recommended Route: On the beach looking at lake, go LEFT. Trail follows the lake edge then winds off into the bush.
