Cross Country Rider Summary: Lots of new trails and re-routes this year with the addition of a new trail - Crank'd. This place is loaded with excellent singletrack, perfect for any rider looking for a singletrack fix. Everything flows well and is laid out nice, there is some climbing that will challenge your legs but its all rideable. This would be a 5 star rating but the cost of a trail pass ($12.50 per day as of 2009) is pretty steep, especially when there are other places close by with the same quality of trails at a cheaper cost. Recommended Route: Serious, Crank'd, Fun, Sidewinder, Gnarly..... then if you've got it in you try the torture-fest of Radical. Other recommended trails in the same area: Albion hills
Buckwallow

Weekend Warrior Summary: An extensive set of trails.
I rode on Serious and Fun (OK, I was with my wife). I even saw tourists snapping up pictures with the family, a bunch of kids on a lession. But there was also an XC race going on at the same time?! A bit too much lycra for me. Thats the kind of place it is.
I'm a bit surprised that it got such a low score, but I'd have to admit that this place is primarily for XC. I think any free-rider/DH rider would find this place an absolute snooze. On the other hand its a great place for a work-out.
As for value for the money, I found it steep, but again its the facilities and XC-skiing is even more (so quit the complaining?).
If you're looking for big time fun head to Buckwallow or Porcupine ridge. Much more chance for hurting yourself and soiling your pants.

Weekend Warrior Summary: highly overrated!!!! Only ride this place if you LOVE SAND!!!! It's sand everywhere! I rode Serious and Gnarly. The trail layout was good, but every corner has huge amounts of SAND at the apex. Every downhill has SAND at the bottom, and when it's not sand it's HAY!! that's right Hay is everywhere. Riding on hay is like trying to ride on ice. Hay hides all the ruts and holes in the trail.
Worse than that, most of the downhill root stairs are also SAND!!! try cleaning a long steep set of roots when it's sand everywhere. No traction anywhere on those things!
On the other hand, the facilities are great, They even have showers!! Good thing too, you'll get sooo much sand in you that it's a must!!!
Recommended Route: Actually Sprockids is a good warm-up route with very little SAND or HAY on the trail. It's quick, but make sure you have narrow bars or you will get stuck, some of the openings are narrow. Other recommended trails in the same area: Durham Forest, there is far less sand and the trails are cleaner

Weekend Warrior Summary: I decided to finally take the long drive and check out what everyone is talking about. I would have to honest and say my initial thoughts of HH is "not really worth the drive or the 12.50/person to ride". Initially rode the Gnarly route. I really found the long service road climbs to be more annoying than anything, and a lot of the single track didnt have much exciting to offer.
Next I did the Radical Trail which was much more fun than Gnarly...but still, steep ups...steep downs...lots of climbing and nothing to exciting. Maybe it's just now what Im into, but I feel there are much better trails that cost much less (or free) around that will cater to all tastes. Recommended Route: Do Radical.
