Forks of the Credit Provincial Park

The trails consist of mostly open grassland singletrack. There are other types of tralis in the park, but they are part of the Bruce Trail, and are thus not allowed on mountain bikes. Please respect this.

Summary:
There are several trails through this park. Although most are not overly challenging, there are several aggressive climbs, as well as some technical singletracks. The majority of trails are located in the northeast corner of the park and are predominantly through grassy meadows. You can follow these NW to the waterfall (very picturesque), or take a forested route SW, which will take you to a point where bikes are not permitted. We walk our bikes, from this point and suggest you do the same. After this trail, you can head east and pickup the Bruce Trail, or west and take a side trail, back to the park. This has some steep downhills and requires caution (I’ve tumbled more than once here). From here you can head north, which will also take you to the falls.

Recommended Route:
I like all routes, depending on the day. At the southwest corner of teh park there is a side trail with roots and anotehr one that follows the river. These are short but interesting.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Inglewood, Albion Hills, and the trailway.

Summary:
If you're in Inglewood, go north along McLaughlin. when you hit the post office, go left, adn all the way up the hill. follow the road all the way (it turns slightly to the right) until you approach an empty lot. there should be a VERY faint track heading almost due west (left off the road). go along it. it's great fun... careful for the first hill upwards... that thing gets a little sketchy after rain. this trail takes you to numerous places. side trails of the bruce. as well it can take you to either forks of the credit or belfountain. it will also take you into a quarry. the quarry is fun, but the dogs are vicious.

Recommended Route:
inglewood... drive along highway 10 until you reach Olde Base Line. turn westward on Olde Base Line (and follow the speed limit, i live along that road), until you get down the hill. turn north.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
forks of the credit is for city people who like looking at leaves.

Summary:
I must agree with the earlier comments. I live in the area, and have been on the trails in the "Park" several times. They're not that much fun (wide and paved), there is a lot of pedestrian traffic and the nice trails are off-limits. There are a lot of hikers and horseback riders in the area and the park gets *very* crowded in the fall. Most of the local riders prefer to respect the "no bicycles" signs. If you are visiting the area, please do likewise.

Recommended Route:
None.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Go south young... person? Or north.

Summary:
great riding, although you have to put in the effort going up to reap the benifits of some fast downhills...enough trails to make a good afternoon outing.

Recommended Route:
belfountain park...past fountain trail follows the river...dont let park rangers catch you.
