Well, it's not really a trail, it's more of a sewage river, but damn is it fun! Try goin through the water real fast, it's cool.
Go down Bayview, across teh Pottry Road Bridge. Bike down the paved trail till you pass under the bridge, then turn off, and bike down the little hill, right into the river.
Summary: This is an awesome trail that I like to ride weekly if I can. BEWARE though, 3 of my friends (both expert bikers) have been seriously injured on this trail! 'RESPECT THE DON', is the mantra that I chant before I tackle this bad boy!!
Recommended Route: Start at the river trail and go south, then loop up onto the west face by the brickworks and go north. This IMHO, should be the designated LOOP direction.
Other recommended trails in the same area: Nothing comes close.

Summary: The Don is a 10 kilmeter loop(main trail) if you do the lower Don. The main trail is 5 kilometers of up and down. It's like a rollercaoster. Lots of short hills, off camber and roots. A few industious people have put in many new stunts and teeter tooters. There is also about another 10km of secondary trails.
It's a great place to train if you reeally push.
Recommended Route: Bayview to pottery road.

Summary: goes up, down, curvy, mad, treeroots, teeter totter last i was there. mad 40' bridge 4' up in the trees 6" wide. Trail is wearing out hard. Every year is different. Mostly woods and mud. . .trickle of water. Terrible in the spring at 10C when the mud is thawing, Great about Late march - april (during thaw 4" sink-in with 2" tires, very bad to leave centre of trail. ) through til iceseason sometimes. Little snow and great for studded tire riding. Summer is hardpacked dry, dust. Rain then only slicks it on the upper surface because of clay. Fast ride in the hillside. Likes to eat bicycles sometimes. Riders alike.Smokey goes on the path to ticket riders coming onto the go train trax. Parking lot is full o trailer-trash. Nightride is fun in the summer between 12am-4am when temperature is right for smog to lift. Daytime smog settles in during summer at 11am off highway...sits til 12am usually when above 25C.
Recommended Route: Just get there. Bring disc brakes and suspension and go like mad. . .most bring fixit-kits but no first aid. Outdoor vendor off the southern part all summer during the day Near pottery rd., stone parking lot.
Other recommended trails in the same area: past the parking lot on to the right just before the bridge on the left. NEW extention. When souther trail is closed due to errosion this one will keep on. Forks to the left after the stream crossing for excellent up an down steep section climbing setup for fork required. Serious strength needed for climbing. Serious lighting for storm weather required halogen needed. serious path for riders, not many pass through.

Summary: Some folks say the DON is easy , that is because they don't know the whole story , there is the main drag Pottery Rd to the big parking lot , which mostly XC and little bit of freeride , but if you go pass the big tooth under and croos to the north side , you would not says the Don is easy , killer decends , slick off " neck breaking drop "off chambers , you name it , the Don have it , that is why you never gets bore in there , I go there whenever I can year round, have yet to ride it without touching the deck , with keep trying until I can ride it all the way without touching the deck , may be then , I will call it easy. That's my two cents. Happy riding everyone!
Recommended Route: Rode all over Southern Ontario , for us living in T.O , the Don is IT !
