Weekend Warrior Summary: Just went to camp fortune to do some mountain biking. My 1st time there. I read the reviews here on mtbr thinking it was going to be truely awesome. Not the case. I paid my 5 bucks. Got a crummy map. I'm ok with the map and the 5 bucks. But when you cycle to trail entrance after trail entrace and there are signs saying no bikes allowed and the map clearly indicates it is a mountain bike trail... I get mad. I didn't drive all this way to cycle double track... grrr... Out of all the mark trail entrances I only came across 2 that were allowed for biking. All others were marked no biking. I had originally asked what was a good route to take when I bought my pass, the girl behind the desk said I don't know. I should've known somehting was up or atleast fishy when I was 1 of 2 cars in the parking lot at noon on a long weekend with amazing weather. Almost no one else on the trails at all.
Later in the day I entered into a trail in which it was marked no cycling allowed by accident when I took a wrong turn doubling back. The trail there was awesome. Too bad you aren't allowed to ride on any. Maybe in the past you could, but now you can't.
I give camp fortune 0 out of 5 stars... Recommended Route: None. Other recommended trails in the same area: New to area, will continue to explore Ottawa

, from aylmer Summary: this is one of the best places to ride in the eastern part of canada. it offers great flow and some technical riding. some of the climbs are amazing and the downfall is even better there is even some downhill trails in the area if you head towards skyline. they hold a quebec cup there evey year if you are into xc then camp fortune offers the best trails around. awsome rides everytime. the best time to go is in late summer which is now so, head out there for a great time Recommended Route: any Other recommended trails in the same area: kanata lakes aren't bad for something different

, from renfrew Summary: I raced here a couple of monthies ago so me and a couple of pals decided to make the trek out after I told them a little about the course. this is a fun trail to ride for everyone. one of my buds is just starting out and he had a blast. Some tough climbs, a little harder than I remember but, the descents are worth the struggle up. I would recommend this trail to anyone in the area or anyone that is going to be near ottawa.

, from toronto Summary: wow, this is better than the first time I rode it a couple of years ago. Me and my buddies usually ride the hardwood hills, and camp fortune is heels above back home. My favourite place to ride. Lots of flow and you never have to leave your bike. Some of the descents were just sweet. I was stoked the whole time I was riding.
