Very technical.Lots of logs, steep hills and decents that sneek up on you.Its what granny gears were made for. Some manmade stuff e.g-about a 10 foot long ladder bridge that drops 4 feet straight down onto a mammoth rim bending rock then continues on to a rock infested creek.Lots of roots, rocks, creeks this trail has it all.Twisty and technical the whole way.Never think that your done that climb, cause there's another one after it.This will challenge the most seasoned riders. All the off shoots from the main trail are very technical and very challenging, they all end up on the main trail. This trail if for gutsy advanced riders.Do not go here if your a beginner and lack confidence in your riding ability.
Go west on Commissioners rd until Byron . Look for a parking lot on the south side. There will be a sign there saying Warbler Woods.Directly across the road you'll see a hill with lots of tall grass.Thats where the trail begins, ride up the hill then enter the forest. You'll have to got about a kilometer before the real fun begins. You'll come to a log thats about 10 feet long.Cross it,and thats where the fun begins!!
Summary: very very long if its hot trust me bring water..many steep hills and technical stuff..lots of rocks, logs (maditory to have a bash guard if you want to keep your sprockets) and roots in the trail but really fun and challenging if you know what you are doing.. no dirt jumps or shoots or ladders..i herd there was some out there but i havent found them yet. dont go here if you are a begginer you are garenteed to get hurt on the hills..very narrow and slippery even when it isnt wet....never go there without brakes all the hills have very sharp narrow turns but if you a tough bike with lots of fork travel and lots of experience...give it a try..
Recommended Route: park in the warbler woods parking lot come back out of theparking lot and follow commissioners west until the end at the stop lights. turn right and follow it down hill (on your bike) until the concrete bridge just before the bridge on your left hand side there is a hill with lots of grass go there and you will find the trail..follow the trail about .5 km and you will see a log about 8 feet long...go across it and thats where most of the hills and technical stuff begins, the trail is about 6km long and takes a fairly long time to do it about 3 hours there and back. ( stay out of the seals camp )

Summary: My impressions after just one ride on this trail:
Aggressive XC trail, about 6km one-way, 12km for a return trip. Most of the trail isn't very fast, because of the many uphill sections and logs. I averaged less than 12kmh for my ride, which included walking up several hills (which were great descents on the return trip though!)
The beginning and end part require more technical riding with several logs to cross, obstacles like rocks and roots, steep uphill and downhills, and several creeks. Some of the obstacles have wooden planks or twigs to assist in negotiating them. The middle part of the trail is a fairly flat singletrack, so you can ride this section faster. Most of the ride is through forested sections, so it is well-shaded by the many leafy trees. The inclines are the most challenging parts of the trail, and are part of a small escarpment alongside the Thames River, so there is some nice scenery and views of the river. The uphill sections are quite difficult, and I found myself forced to walk on numerous occasions - they make terrific descents for experienced riders though, although they are fairly short. A return trip on the trail is a good physical workout, and would certainly require some XC experience.
I have not yet been to Boler, but have ridden Fanshawe a couple of times. I found Cains was a little bit more intense and suitable for the more aggressively minded XC riders, whereas Fanshawe offers a little more variety, and is a longer (20+km) and much faster trail.
I didn't find some of the things that other reviewers have mentioned, like teeter totters, trials sections, or insane ladder bridges - perhaps these were in the section that has been developed for housing and a golf course? Please email me at gregorytopov@despammed.com if you have any information on finding these freeride type sections.
Note: This is the same trail listed elsewhere as the "Kilworth" trail - check under "Kilworth" for more reviews.
Recommended Route: 1. Take Commissioners Road WEST through Byron (west of London).
2. Park in the "Warbler Woods" ESA, on the left hand side just before Commissioners reaches Oxford St.
3. Bike to the end of Commissioners Road, then at the traffic lights turn right (NE) onto Oxford St, and go downhill on Oxford till you reach a concrete bridge (0.75km from the Warbler Woods parking lot).
4. The trail begins on the left hand side just before the bridge.
5. Follow the trail about 500m until you come to a 6 meter long wooden log across a ravine on the right hand side, which you cross.
6. Follow the main trail by sticking fairly closely to the river whenever the trail divides.
7. About 6km from the beginning of the trail, the trail divides into two (right hand side: bent "no tresspassing" sign; left hand side: red circles painted on the trees).
8. At this fork, turn around and ride the 6km back to the beginning.
9. Note that the rest of the trail beyond the fork is private property (Easter Seals Camp), and I'm told that this is enforced. In the event of an emergency, take the left hand trail for another 1km and you'll end up at a small hut right near the main road (Glendon Drive).

Summary: This is the trail that started my love for mountain biking. I did this trail religiously for 2 full seasons (till I moved). It starts off with a lot of climbs and steep, technical descents. Right when you work up a sweat it breaks off into a flat plain with a twisting trail riding through it only to go back into the heights and drops at the close.
Recommended Route: Park at Warbler woods, head North on Oxford till you reach right before the bridge. Go up the hill on your left, then continue north, the trail will pop out right in front of you.
