Weekend Warrior Summary: As a beginner/intermediate rider i had lots of fun. lots of hills and most are steep going either up or down... but they're not impossible for everyone. it's easy to get lost if you've never been there before. trails go forever and are unmarked, so you can end up in a cornfield or a sandy moto-x track.
remember, mosquito repelent is a MUST. you'll be sorry if you don't bring it. those bugs will be on you every second. watch out for the big puddles because some can be knee deep.
really great variety of flat and fun trails as well as climbs. only noticed 2 tiny kickers.. wasn't looking for them anyway. Recommended Route: driving directions:
take bayview just north of elgin mills. best parking is on the neighbourhood streets you'll find on your right. if you've hit stouville road heading north you've passed the entrance to the little neighbourhoods.
riding route: easiest to enter anywhere from stouville road Other recommended trails in the same area: albion hills is fun too.

, from holland Landing Summary: i just tryed these trails for the first time in 2 years, how ever i used to love the area. there usd to be some pretty crazzy freeride stuff like big brigdes, tidders, big doubles, and downhills. some are hiden! keep your eyes open! when i went out this year i was riding a log about 3 feet off the ground and bailed off and cracked my helmet right throu. keep eyes open for dirtbikes! Recommended Route: you can park right on Bayview since it was extended. trailhead is on eastside of Bayview it's hard to see because of consruction. Other recommended trails in the same area: ravenshoe is a awsome mix of technical single track and some small freeride stuff; like a double tidder, a bridge with a 3foot drop.

Weekend Warrior Summary: These trails are great because of their immediate proximity to T.O. A wide variety of trails and conditions, not to mention a few tech bits in the centre, will hold the attention of most riders for an hour or so.
These trails face massive development pressure and the northern trailhead has just been obliterated by a new development.
A few fantastic, long gradual downhills along creekbeds and valleys. Watch out for fallen trees.
I don't think that these trails have ever been professionally maintained, and they get a lot of use. Generally not too technical but a few roots and bumps. Most "singletrack" are wider than you might be used to. Heavy usage from partying teenagers means some broken bottles near firepit areas.
Word to the wise - these trails are also referred to as "The Mosquito Coast". This is a valid title - the bugs are insane, especially in the valleys. As these trails are bang in the middle of the West Nile area you have to wear long sleeve clothing, and lots of DEET. And don't stop for more than 10 secs ever. Seriously.
Watch out for moto-cross meatheads, mostly on the outside / doubletrack. They mainly stick to their own man-made trails. Recommended Route: Access - Park on the side of Stouffville sdrd and go in from the south off Stouffville Sdrd East of Bayview.
To get in at the north end, for now, park opposite the new development on the old Bayview Ave dead-end, or at the Lake Wilcox parking at Bayview/ Bethesda Rd. Follow the construction road (north side) in and ride the outside of the field, entering the trails at the end of the field. You can also enter from Leslie north of Stouffville Sdrd behind an abandoned property.
Try all three main wooded areas and the central valley. The trails are unmarked and go everywhere. If you get lost just head downhill or listen for traffic.
The best part of the trail is the part on private property beyond the wrecked Chevy. Be nice to the landowner if you see him as you are trespassing.
Also - one of the first hills inside has a quick turn with a tree over the trail. Watch out for it Other recommended trails in the same area: Ravenshoe is much more fun & technical but quite a ways away.
Likewise for the Durham Forest.

, from Richmond Hell Summary: Some fast, flowing singletrack with plenty of uphills and downhills. Some almost technical shit, but limited to logs, rocks. Some very difficult ruts from the local dirt bikers, but I can't complain cuz they made some pretty nice bermed turns throughout the trail. Love railin' around those. Overall, nothin too challenging as far as skill goes, but it's a workout nontheless. For more of a thrill, ride it when it's wet. This place could benefit from more advanced NS, more technical downhills peace Recommended Route: Just ride it all. Just let it happen. You'll prollie end up riding some sections more than once, but it's all good. Explore the branched out sectioln through the fields. Other recommended trails in the same area: Ravenshoe!!!! The pinnacle of sweetness for freeriders like myself
