Ridden Trail: Once a year

Cross Country Rider Summary: Before this summer, I last rode Albion Hills 10 years ago, and it has certainly improved. Now 18 marked sections of single track. Back then it was just ride around and look for trails. And much of the newer trails are nicely cut into the side of the forested hills, with nice switchbacks and short steep inclines and declines.
The total single track (all 18 sections) is a 2 hr ride, and some of it is gets a little repetitive. Then the last 3 sections S.16 to S.18 offer more challenge - both aerobic and technical. These last sections are a bit more fun, and can be ridden at the end as per the markers, or they can be ridden at the start, because they are close to the parking.
Overall, Albion Hills is near-perfect for the intermediate XC rider. Recommended Route: Start in the campground parking lot. Follow the black arrows for the 2 hr single track run. Some signage missing (around S.6 or S.7) so be careful to not get lost.

Racer Summary: Awesome, Fast rolling single track maintained by Chico racing. Follow black arrows and you will hit every single track trail. Its well marked and there is a weekly race series there every Tuesday at 7:00. Theres campsites, and no idiots can touch or "improve" ( destroy) the trails thanks to the bike patrol.
Theres also some pretty good climbs! :) Recommended Route: Black arrows will take you through every single track.!!

Racer Summary: Very nice trail system not too far from Toronto. Clearly marked and well maintained trails. Pretty much typical eastern forest trails. No long climbs, but plenty of short steep climbs. Nothing too technical, a fast trail. I have not yet raced there, but I suspect that it is a very good place for a race, fast and lots of places to pass. Recommended Route: Follow the big black arrows for a good 2 hour workout.

Cross Country Rider Summary: Well, the one word that describes albion hills the best is singletrack. If that is what you like, you will like albion. It is a great place for the O-Cup race, and even better for the 24h races. Great camping, and lots of trails. Not overly technical. You can ride pretty fast, as the trails have great flow. Yup, singletrack and flow... Recommended Route: follow the singletrack.

Weekend Warrior Summary: Great runs, Epic ride is nice if you keep a good pace and there are a few runs that really shine for me, we kept to the black sections rode about 2 hours and we never crossed back into the same territory, there must be hours of runs there.
Very arobic riding, lots of up and downhills, although nothing really steep that required getting off the seat too far IMO, then again i havent seen half of the trails so what do i know!!!
