Trail Directions
Ottawa –Gatineaus(Meech Lake) This about a 10-20km round trip depending on your starting point. Head to Chelsea, and from there you will see signs directing you to Camp Fortune. There are three starting pints (parking lots) Free Parking at theses lots, pay everywhere else . P8: Starts in Chelsea, across from the parking lot you will see a trail , take this and it will join you to #1 trail at the top of the mountain. (Longest) P9: Starts at a midpoint between parking lots ( A little more road riding to get to trails.) P10: This a little parking lot on the road that leads to Camp Fortune Ski area (A whole slew of trails here from beginner to expert, Provincial races have been held at this location x-country-downhill). From Camp fortune follow the trail #14 to the top of the mountain, then get onto trail #1 . Follow this trail until you reach Champlain Lookout, take a break you will deserve it at this point. 2 trails lead west from here a fire road and a single track take either one. You will see a sign saying Western Lookout, a few hundred feet you will see two trails saying Meech Lake, take the second, the first is closed to bikes. You are now at the top of a 4.1km singletrack downhill trail ENJOY!

Summary:
Its a bit of a climb to get to the top, and the directions were confusing as hell, but the downhill is worth it. Super fast and tacky, but not very technical. Would be good for a beginner-intermediate looking for a super fast downhill. Watch the kicker at the end of the trail after the bridge. If you have a crappy front fork don't even think of doing this trail fast, you'd have more fun staying home a punching yourself in the nuts repeatedly.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Fortune, Kanata Lakes
