Ridden Trail: Once a month

Cross Country Rider Summary: Red Gate has some pretty cool trails, but is not very technical. It's twisty and all, but very flat. No climbs, and no downhills. There are a couple of bridges, but only out of necessity.
Trails are covered with stinging nettle, and the mosquitos are *ucking terrible. If you live close, and haven't been before, try it, it's definately different (Jurassic Parkish), but it's not worth more than a 15 - 20 minute drive.

, from Bowmanville Summary: This trail is ok if you want something quick/short to ride I wouldn't travel to egt to it though as it's not worth the drive. I am only 10 mins away or I wouldn't go at all. I have only ridden it twice though so maybe I'm missing something but I really don't think so. Recommended Route: Wherever....nothing specific Other recommended trails in the same area: Ganny, Long Sault, Durham Forest

It can be a long, fast enjoyable ride when u know the trails. Recommended Route: Actually the nearest town is The small town of Orono, not Bowmanville. Other recommended trails in the same area: The Linton Trail just around the corner, There is some really good Single track that meets up to one of the Red Gates Trails. All in all there is about 15KM of Single track.

, from oshawa Summary: Did with my 9yr old, and was alright! A bit challenging for the young guy in a few different places though. Single track is good, and gets fun in places! Ride beside the creek was cool, easy, and spacious, compared to some of the other areas. Is a mapboard when you park. Somewhat unclear until you ride the trails, then it makes more sense. Trails were dry. Take care to not hurt the landscape.

, from Somewhere Summary: I find it to be really f&*king sweet. There are a few old NON paved roads running through it, but they are optional if you want to ride them. I stick to the single track which is FAST & TECHNICAL. Many different trails to choose from. You can choose some long trails or short ones. Recommended Route: Red GateS Other recommended trails in the same area: Ganaraska Forest
