Cross Country Rider Summary: This is one of the better trails I've found in London. Not only does it have the climbs and drops, but also you gotta keep on your toes. I've been ejected too many times by an unnoticed root or a stream that was deceptivly deep. While it is off limits to bikers (officially), the times I've been in there (gotta love that back door) I have found approx 1 hiker to every 2 bikers, so it is still in use, but just be careful. Other recommended trails in the same area: Cains, Bolar

, from London,Ontario Canada Summary: This trail has a lot of leg burning climbs and fast downhill sections. Some of the trail is illegal so watch out for conservation officers!! Once you get passed the axxcess road it becomes fast and it is on private landso it isn't illegal!:) If you go for about 30 min you get to the playground which has jumps, teeter totters and a couple of good drops. The trail catters to all different skill levels butthe playground should only be ridden by people who have a good amount of skill. Recommended Route: Come off of Highbury and go east at the lights on Commissioners RD. Go to City Wide baseball and soccer feilds and park your car. Go along the cement path till you get to the last ball diamond and go down the grass hill. Other recommended trails in the same area: None, WE NEED MORE TRAILS!!!!!

, from Vancouver's North Shore Summary: Well I'm from the north shore so I was looking for the free ride area. It's a long ways in. just keep going and you will find it. There is some OK things out here. But some of the jumps and bridges are really old and falling apart. More thought should have gone in to design out here. This is one of the best areas I've ridden in London so I give it a 8 out of 10. Recommended Route: I rode from Hamilton Road south on Meadowlilly Rd. to old bridge walkway, turn left(east) right after first house and follow (Yellow Markers) Other recommended trails in the same area: The only other trails I would suggest are Kains, And Fanshawe. Don't bother going to boiler it a wast of time and money. If you ever get a chance goto BC's north shore and see some of the best riding in the world.

Ridden Trail: Please Select

Reviewed by: Nobody Summary: I used to ride here, and the riding was good. Unfortunately, the City of London has banned bicycles from all forest trails within City limits. It ain't right, but it's the law. The problem with Meadowlilly is that so many people hike the trail and walk their dogs, that it was overcrowded. The real problem started near the University on another popular trail, where the nearby (very rich) residents lobbied the city to kick out the cyclists, and won. Man, what are kids supposed to do? I grew up playing in the woods on my bikes, and today's kids are not allowed to do it because some rich fk wants to walk the pooch and let it st in the woods where he will not "stoop'n'scoop". So instead, the kids hang around downtown and get into trouble, or ruin their eyes downloading internet porn, when they could be blowing off the steam on some sweet singletrack. Enough ranting, go ride. Recommended Route: This trail is illegal. Signs posted make it very clear that the Meadowlilly Forest is off-limits to bikes. It does not matter which entrance you use! Other recommended trails in the same area: Boler Mtn is all right but charges $

, from London Summary: These trails split and run mostly parallel with each other. There are some nice gullies and a great duel downhill from "shopping-cart" hill in the field by Commissioners Rd. With Cains Rd. soon to be lost, this is the next best trail in London for variety. Remember...This Trail is "off-limits" to bicycles only at the entrance on Meadowlilly. There is a hard to find back entrance that is totally legal. Recommended Route: On the way in...Thames River on the Left. On the way out...Thames River on the Right.
Other recommended trails in the same area: South side of Thames River off-road from Adelaide St. to Meadowlilly makes for a lot more of a challenge.
