Summary:
I actually ride in the area about 3 - 4 times a week. I'm there when the snow melts, and I'm there until we get a lot of snow. The singletrack trails are rocky and techinical. Can be very discouraging for unexperienced riders. Get used to riding the rock while it's dry, cause when its wet and icy it really gets interesting. There are roundabouts for most of the harder sections, you can find some good drops (4-10feet) if you go looking for them. The trails can get a little confusing at first, but you can ride all afternoon without having to double back.

Recommended Route:
Leave from Laurentian University stadium, the trails are everywhere.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
The old ski hill south of hwy69. Hydro line trails behind Timberwolf Golf Club. Hydro line trail that runs from the tax center all the way to Valley East.

Summary:
Rocky, technical, slow. Not for everyone. This is typical Sudbury/Northern Ontario riding. If anyone knows of any faster, more hardpacked, DIRTY trails, please email me!!!

Recommended Route:
The blue or red trails.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Check out the conservation area. Quite the same, but seems a little faster.

Summary:
Great northern ontario riding. Very rocky and technical. The single track is distinctly different than southern ontario trails. Great fun for advanced riders especially when the trails are dry. Bigginner riders have a limited choice of trails and may be discouraged greatly!! Some of the trails have great hill top views of lakes. Mid summer riding is awesome. I have been riding these trails since 1990 and I still find them incredibly technical and challenging (especially the lung buster climbs).

Recommended Route:
Simics Trail, The Beaton Trail, Conservation area trail

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Talk with the local bike shop otherwise you will get lost.
