Summary:
We just came back from a weekend where we were going to stay up and ride the Bruce but after trying out the Brant track we were not at all surprised. The trail has very very poor drainage and it was muddy all over. And even if the trail was dry we did not find anything at all challenging with the routes we took which may i add were the more advanced runs. One thing i must hand to them is that the trails are very clearly marked and its very difficult to get lost. I guess in my opinion i didn't find it worth it to drive up 3 hours to get there, but it was worth a try i guess.

Summary:
I rode this trail on a mini roadtrip in July/07. Great trail, good flowing singletrack, a few technical bits with rollings hills and a few steep bits but no extended climbs, trails are marked out well with no chance of getting lost. While I was there I didn't see any other riders and managed to get in 2 laps. Be sure to check out the Brant Tract website http://www.mtbthebruce.com/
Best part is that this awesome trail is free to use!!!

Recommended Route:
follow the trail markers

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Carrick Tract

Summary:
This trail system is a lot of fun as it's fast and has great flow. You'll never have to "touch down". I gave it a 4 because the trails lack difficulty but they're still a lot of fun if you like going fast.

Recommended Route:
Buck Run, Razor's Edge, Widow Maker

Other recommended trails in the same area:
there aren't really any, unless you consider Collingwood and Owen Sound to be in the area

Summary:
This trail is fun to ride. Back home where I'm originally from, in Dundas, there are so many good trails that I think I'm spoiled. The Brant Tract doesn't live up to Waterdown standards or even Dundas Valley Conservation Area, but there are some good challenging trails here.

IMBA did a good job on designing these trails. The trails are cut across the hill faces to minimize erosion. The trail surface is hardpacked dirt singletrack, with lots of roots. If you have a singlespeed, you can definitely ride these trails. I saw a guy out there with a GT Ruckus singlespeed, and he looked happy. Lots of rolling little hills, but not many climbs or drops.

The one disadvantage to these trails is that the surrounding area is low-lying, and there are sooooo many mosquitoes. Every time I go here, I use up 1/4 bottle of Muskol. Once you get on the bike, you can't stop or the mosquitoes will EAT YOU!

I live up near Paisley now, within biking distance of the Brant Tract.
I'll definitely make it out there lots more times this summer.

Would be nice to see more bikers on these trails.

Recommended Route:
Widow Maker

Summary:
The last time I rode this trail was two years ago, and I see that there appears to be two new trails added. (The Widow maker and Racers Edge). This trail is good as any if not better than most of the stuff we get to ride in Southern Ontario. Yesterday a group of us decide to head it up this way to ride the Bruce Peninsula Mountain Bike Adventure Park, then here the Brant Tract and finally the Carrick Tract. All three were greatand were worth the long drive we had to ;ut in. There are maps at all numbered junctions and the route we took was as follows. Parking lot #2 North on West Road to #4 to #24-#23-#21-#20-#19-#18-16-#17-#14-#13-#22-#21-#23-#24-#25-#2.We ignored the #13-#15 because some of the sections were pretty greasy and when I last rode this section(Cedar Hills) it swas really greasy, we thought we would ignore it. Anyways, for riders who like fast, flowing, technical, you shuld be pleased.
