Ridden Trail: Once a month

Weekend Warrior Summary: Single track fun but expect to dismount a few times. This is the HVHTA trail (Humber Valley Heritage Association) and they are rather anti-mountainbike - to the point of proclaiming its illegal (yet I couldn't find any local bylaw other than all trails in this area are multiuse anyway). I suspect this animosity is largely because there had been a number of disrespectful riders along this trail in the past who didn't realize that this was a managed trail (because it sure didn't look like one!) That said, I've never been challenged on this trail and always give approaching hikers the right-of-way and bell a long ways off or when going around blind corners. Standard stuff. Recommended Route: Start at the bottom of Glasgow Road and got all the way up to the end at Duffy's Lane. Or, start at the top and come back down. Either way its a good ride. Other recommended trails in the same area: There are some trails in the Cold Creek Conservation area - the part that runs south of King Road down to Kirby Road east of Albion Vaughan. These are not maintained trails and not overly challenging but fun nonetheless.
