The best way to find the trail/get to know it is to drop into a local shop and ask them when their group ride is heading out. There are no 'easy' trails here. Some are easier than others. Please read the rules at the trailhead and adhere to them

Trail Directions
There are four main entrances to the trail: 1.Head up St.Margarets Bay Road(Route 3) away from the Armdale Rotary. Just past the "Welcome to Halifax" sign on your left you will see a dirt parkinglot. A river can be seen running from a lake on your right. Head down the left side of the river and watch for an entrance to the trail. There is one 50m down and another where the river meets the lake. Most people take the first entrance. 2.Take the same road as above. About 100m before the "Welcome to Halifax" sign you will see a green 'gate'. The entrance to the trail is to the left of this gate, and is pretty obvious when you cross the road. 3.Travel south on Northwest Arm Drive. When you see Hail Pond on your left wtach on your right for a trail going into the woods. This is known as "Quick Exit", but you can use it to take you to th centre of the trail system. 4.Keep travel south on Northwest Arm Drive to the third set of lights(located at the end of the Cowie Hill Connector Road). Look for a gap in the guardrail for a trail heading into the woods. Go in this way for extra riding.

Ridden Trail:
Ridden Once

Summary:
I am new to MTB and found this trail extremely technical. Hard to even know where the trail was a lot of the time. Very rocky, very rooty, lots of steep drops (for me anyway). Might be fun once I get my bike legs. I would not recommend this place for beginners unless someon knows of another route in.

Recommended Route:
I went in from the left side of the creek off of St. Marg rd.

Summary:
This trail system continues to evolve lots of "new" challenges. A fun ride that can be as long or short as you want it to be. Large numbers of users on this trail system!

Recommended Route:
choose on of four

Other recommended trails in the same area:
If you like the hand built "challenges" in this trail system and have an opportunity to travel to N.B. check out the woodlot at Fredericton. Bring body armour! There are some sick drops (some are eight feet or more)and tons of ladder obstacles. This trail system looks like a "northshore" clone.
