Cross Country Rider Summary: The trail is pretty good, it encompases many different types of terrain - dirt,granite,rocks,roots,man-made stuff, gravel - and has something for each skill level.
The opening climb is great for beginners learning, starting to get into the harder sections after a brief rockgarden and downhill section into a more technical section. Once you get through the wooded area, you get out on the powerlines where it is more wide-open and fast, then back up the hill for a climb to the beginning again.
There is some new stuff on the right when you enter the trail and once you get to the top of the granite opening you can go off to the right and go down then man made ladders, drops, hucks, and teeter totters that are a lot of fun. At the end of this just before the parking lot there is a good five-footer thats also good for a rip.
Good for an overall cross-country ride - could be a little longer. Recommended Route: Get off at BK and take the ride up the mountain Other recommended trails in the same area: Jack's Lake, Wrandees

, from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada Summary: This trail has claimed many bikes, including mine. it starts off fast and easy. followed by a 5 foot rideable drop and then a fairly technicial rock garden through the woods. it comes out at the power lines where you go to the right. then it's all up hill. LOOK 4 big slanted rock face comming out of the woods, this is where you go in. The woods feature some big drops including a 10-12 footer which leads into a monster technicial downhill section. it's an awesome ride, crappy walk, pack a 1st aid kit Recommended Route: take the Bayers lake exit off the 102, take a right turn off the ramp until you see the burger king. follow dirt road up into the woods between value village and some other building. Other recommended trails in the same area: Birch hill, burnside trails

Cross Country Rider Summary: Oh my fuc*%, I've got the imprint from my spare CO2 cartridge on my butt! I cursed and sweared and wished I had a full suspension jabbie on some of the sections. Like my Great Mentor once said after my total-lack-of-technical-abitilies-revealed-themselves-in-a-wicked-crash: "Jeff, If you're not flying, it means that you're not trying". Well, he'd be proud of me now... it's an awesome trail but be carefull for drops! I would like to take the time to thank our sponsors, who affectionnaly carved tis trail. I may be cursing you now, but am sure to thank you later for my improved skills, which I will acquire from riding this trail! Recommended Route: Bayers Lake Burger King. Right behind. Let the smell of grease guide ya. Other recommended trails in the same area: Go to those so you don't see me crashing: Wrandees, Burnside, Fairview.
