8km return. Steady climb to bogs, large barrens, plateau. 360 degree view of Ingonish and ocean. Can see Sydney on clear day. One of the few trails you can cycle (legally) in Highlands National Park.

Ridden Trail:
Ridden Once

Reviewed by: RobB ,  Cross Country Rider

Summary:
Gradual 4 km steady climb over a hard pack terrain with lots of baby heads and mouse droppings along the way but no mouse. Once you reach the top there’s some beautiful stunted vegetation along with a great view of the surrounding peaks and ocean. The return trip is a fast, fun downhill, just watch out for hikers. Of the three legal trails in the park this one is by far the best.

Recommended Route:
See above.
