Gruelling uphills, technical, tight forested singletrack, scenic, alpine, what you'd expect in B.C.

Trail Directions
Go to Apex Mountain Resort, 30 kms west of town. Ride or drive the Nickel Plate Road until you see the first xc ski parking lot and turn right off main road. Stay left on road until you see the big rock with LAKE. Keep straight and follow for about 5 kms until you see red ribbon, turn right on singletrack. At next intersection, turn RIGHT, NOT LEFT,(or you'll make a 2 hour ride into 8) and follow singletrack for an awesome ride until you meet up with Apex road. Back up the hill to Apex Resort, about 25 minutes by bike.

Summary:
Nice climb from Apex, beautiful alpine air, awesome singletrack. Gotta give it 4 stars just for the beauty. Don't forget, at the second intersection, turn right, not left, or you're gonna have a long night.
