Classic old school singletrack. This trail can be ridden in both directions (up and down). A do-able grunt going up, just put your head down and stay in the saddle. Once at the top descend down the same trail. When combined with Old Goats and Sherwoody Forrest it is one very long and technical singletrack.

Summary:
Really, really good trail. You can climb the ski hill about 1/2 way and then take a right across the mountain and boom, there you are at the trail head of Black Forest (which I love, cross country only need apply). Tons of roots, some steeps, more or less heading downhill all the way. it gets really cool when it starts to flatten and you are completely submerged within the canopy, it truely creates its onw ecosystem on the forest floor. Remember, it is very slippery when wet, which equals fun. It can hook up to almost anything on that side of the valley including snake bite, gorby etc. Really good stuff, some of the best really.

Recommended Route:
Ski Hill

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Anything on the hill, roots, extension, hyper-extension, splitting bears etc.

Summary:
Very sweeeeeet rolling and dipping downhill! Nothing scary, not very fast because of all the turns. Really good trail if you like the bike-jockey feel of on/off the saddle riding. Bring clear lenses for your shades because as soon as you turn off the cat-track the lights go out thanks to some huge trees.

Recommended Route:
As reccommended. Sherwoody Forest is lotsa fun with small ups/downs. Gorby is a nice climb on an old road. I went up Gorby to the connection with a cat track, went left, climbed some more until you see a short steep trail coming down on the right. Look left for the continuation of Black Forest until it quickly connects with Megahurts.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Works good as a combo with Dem Bones, Mushroom Head, and Lactic Ridge accessed from Fernie Provincial Park.
