Hammil Lake Loop

Average Rating:    (3.75 of 5)

No. of Reviews: 4

Head east along powerline service road until you see a lake on the North side. Just before you see the lake, on a corner, on the north side there is a double track that heads back west. About 1/2 km in, off of the north side of the double track, there is a single track that follows the shoreline of the lake around. The first kilometer is overgrown a little. The rest of the loop around the lake is rolling twisty single track. Eventually you come out to the powerline. Follow powerline service road south, then turn west to complete loop & follow road back to parking. About 1/3 dirt road, 2/3rd single track.

Summary:
another trip is to enter fred's trail, trail head about 1/4 way around lake, this gets you up to the blue trail and the duck lake logging road area and access to all other trails listed on this site. Turns these rides into 20-30 km rides for a good workout. A real cross of terrain. Local bike shops can help, a bunch of us ride this area weekly.

Recommended Route:
as already stated, known locally as west lake, go clockwise around the lake,

Other recommended trails in the same area:
lang creek, suicide creek, mud lake, lower/upper bucket

Summary:
There isn't much elevation change on this loop.
When you exit the loop on to the powerline on the east side of the lake, there is a fun rock face to ride.

Recommended Route:
I posted all the trail info above but it got submitted before I was done.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Suicide Creek Loop, Mud Lake Loop
