Summary:
Map now exists for the area www.trailventuresbc.com

Getting a plane ride to Spruce Lake is pretty lame; first it makes a great introductory backcountry experience tamed down letting mountain dewd wannabes who have no business being in such a wild area. second, it means one misses out on a lot of the incredible terrain.

If you want to support Dale and tyaxair.com then get him to fly you out to someplace a little harder to get to under self-power - like Trigger or Warner or Lorna Lake.

If your response to my comment is that you're not fit enough or don't have the time or the ability to get to Spruce under your own power then maybe you have no business being there hmmm?

Recommended Route:
Either High Trail - Taylor/Camel Pass - Eldorado Basin - Windy Pass - Spruce Lake - Grasslands/Upper trail - Gun Creek

- or -

Gun Creek - Lower trail - Spruce Lake - Windy Pass - Eldorado Basin - then out.

Greatest ride in BC. The setting is incredible. The view from the glades-amazing. An exhausting ride but worth it, even to this novice. Best route( fly-in with Dale) spruce lake and ride back to Tyax... Need help with the trip, contact Whistler Outback Adventures

Summary:
Horse tracks for the most part. You are to hell and gone up in the mountains so breathing is a neat trick for the first few days. That's why one rides in the low way, then out the high way.

Recommended Route:
If you really want to do this, fly your gear in on the plane form Tyax Lodge. Then ride the Valley up to it, then Windy Pass out. Dale is your pilot and he made many of the trails on Seymour Mtn. "Dale's Trail" he is a wealth of info.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Ask Dale... the pilot, he recommended a great "bob sled" descent.

Summary:
friends and i have been up there yearly for the past 5 and have never been dissapointed. go the long way around from tyax to get the best ride possible in your life. single track climb where only the horses and bears go for about 3 hours and then it's all dh for about 3 hours. back up to tyax in about 1 hour (or shuttle) to sit in the tub and tell stories. to the tent for what could be the best night's sleep ever, nothing but fresh air up there. this circuit is for those in good shape only, those wishing to pust themselves physically. it is long but it's worth it. the trails are all single track so it's more for intermediates. watch out for horses and give way to all bears on or around the trails. have fun.

Recommended Route:
look up "tyax.com", stay camping there for cheap concidering there is a hot tub on the lake, full bathroom , sauna, and more.

If you like single track ride this a 4 hour drive from Vancouver but worth it
beg borrow or steal a car to get there
or even ride a bike 2 days
Super worth it
Its a real adventure away from the wussy assed city urban trails with all their posers. See how you do in a wilderness setting is it too hard for you??? Can you take it, are you scared to be away from the city. 40 kilometres of singletrack descent!!! and some rides have even more with creek xings etc... if you don't have a wish for adventure do not go to the southern chilcotin to ride gold bridge just stay away and keep all the singletrack for those that love it a know how to ride it

Recommended Route:
Yes totally Scenic and wild

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Lots too many to mention intermediate.
