Green Lake Loop

Trail follows old access road originally used to put in the powerline. Trail is mostly in second growth, but gets lots of light, especially in the fall after the leaves have fallen. Some steady climbs, but nothing that'll cost you a lung. Generally gravelly to rocky, but lots of double track. A good little after work toot, or a great way to get back from Kill Me, Thrill Me.

Trail Directions
North access is easiest to find. Head in from Wedgemount Pit Road. Cross bridge over Green River, take first right and follow the road up for less than a kilometre and then head west to connect with a pit road that parallels the BCR line. Just after crossing Wedge Creek on a bridge, look left for a small trail heading off into the woods. Yup, you've found it.

Not a technical route from the north (it's often used for Loonie Races), but a worthwhile toot in the afternoon, as it gets light late into the day. Good views of Green Lake (makes you wish on hot afternoons), and enough rough stuff to keep a person on his or her toes. Trail ends in the Lost Lake Trail system.

Recommended Route:
From the north, the climbs are easy. From the south, some serious gut-busting possible, as the hills are shorter, but steeper.
