Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Port Moody Summary: I have a luxury of riding this trail once or twice a week since I bought a townhouse nearby. This trail gives you a sweet mix of everything. On the way up you're getting a superb cardio workout. Once at the top, you're getting a beautiful view of the Fraser Valley and Mt. Baker. On your way down to Anmore willage, you're jumping the 1'-2' drops, make some nice technical turns and cross a few wooden bridges. I'd say it is beginner to intermediate level. My 8-years old son often accompanies me. The only trouble he has is when we climb up the backyard trail. Recommended Route: The description in the header is very accurate.

, from Coquitlam Summary: Awesome variety of trails. There's a trail for every type of rider, including x-country to the NS freerider. Recommended Route: Go up either Powerline Rd. or Lungbuster. Phone the guys up at Blakdog bikes. They'll help you out. Check out www.mtb.bc.ca Four Lost Souls. There's good directions to get to Four Lost Souls via lungbuster.

, from Nelson, BC Canada Summary: Ride commences with a moderate technical climb through what is called the back yard trail. After 20 minutes of ascending the mountain through this urban forest you will be faced with the wall. To this day I know of two who have climbed the beast. Double track 35 degree pitch--2-300 meters long. Take a left and get the saddle up because you'll be climbing for another 30 minutes before you gain some breath taking views of the Lower Mainland. After the 1300 foot ascent, it is time to allow gravity to takes its course. First few hun feet are rough fire road, that will eventually hurdle you into a dark, rooty, burmed singletrack paradise. Descend Descend Descend. Awesome swithches, but nothing to hairy. Even OK for those "EASTERN HARDCORE RIDERS" you know the ones.... All in all an intermediate ride.

, from Coquitlam Summary: You can climb up about 5 different routes. The main posser way is the gas pipe line behind the houses. The real cyclist way is up the lower gutter and wall trails. Once on the powerline road you can ride over to Buntzen lake. Or ride down the Gutter and/or Randy's trails which takes you to the B & A trails (a shore riders type of trail) This area is miles better then SFU. Recommended Route: Start at the IGA. Ride up any road from there. You can enter the Backyard trail(no closed at the bottom becuase of idiots who can't ride worth beans) At the first road to your right off of the main 4 lane roadclimb(sorry for ambiguius directions) Once your at the top you will find a desserted road way. This is your ticket to the trails of eagle ridge. Other recommended trails in the same area: Don't ride with the BOYZ from the Ridge they don't know didle about ridge and bikes.
