Reviewed by: Summary: re:may 18 review. do you really excpect people to believe that the ministry had anything to do with the destruction of this trail??? like they have the time and funding right now to do a study on this trail to make a decision to close it.give me a break!! even if they did, which they dont,it would take them at least a year to do a study and make a decision and i am sure that thier are higher priorities for this park such as the little white alpine area and the mineral springs area which is trying to be mined.i also wonder if the ministry is concerned about this old cowtrail how did they find out about it? i have yet to see a govt. truck in the area.by the way nice sign at the trailhead looks like a real bc parks sign....NOT!! anyways have fun playing god in your liitle crawford area we dont ride thier anymore due to too much b.s. you sure know how to muster up the support!!

Reviewed by: Summary: The KMBC had nothing to do with the decommisioning. The trail didn't meet the Ministry's guidelines. The KMBC and the NSMBA have been hard at work trying to get the Ministry to adopt more biker friendly guidelines for trail building and will continue. The work is not made any easier if other cyclists build illegal trails at the same time the KMBC tries to convince the bureaucrats most of us are responsible. The KMBC got active 7 years ago to prevent exactly this sort of thing happening. This won't be the last chainsaw massacre if people don't wake up. The KMBC has no preference for rider styles. Of the last three presidents, one was a hardcore stunt rider, one a provincial level competitive downhiller and the current one is an unapolagetic shuttler.
