Weekend Warrior Summary: Lots of downed trees on the trail Sept 2009. If you don't mind a hike a bike around these obstacles then go for it. Still was a blast just couldn't ever get into a good flow.

Downhiller Summary: this is an awesome trail!!!!!! i love it soo much. its long, has fun rock faces,it gradually gets steeper and more technical as you make your way down the mountain. but keep in mind that this is a long ride if you ride from the svaboda parking lot so make you sure you have enough time to ride it at an enjoyable pace. Recommended Route: i would say to make sure you ask the locals about how you get to the trail head. its a long ways up the road, and ends up way out of town so make sure that you are prepared for breakdowns. Other recommended trails in the same area: sitkum creek trail, newt sack, five knucle huckel (if you like old school stuff), and anything else my friends. happy trails.

Downhiller Summary: Amazing trail. Ride from town, climb is a great workout. After entering the trailhead navigate twisting cross country singletrack, then hang on for a wild descent with optional lines. Trail ends at the lake which makes it even sweeter. Local club worked to eliminate erosion on the trail, they did an amazing job. Hope the club continues. Recommended Route: As described already. Other recommended trails in the same area: Visit one of Nelson's bike shops, buy a map. Too many trails to remember.

, from nelson Summary: Be warned, tourist boy expecting full on downhill, kind of an all out hard core cross-country at the start with lots of techy ups on rock slabs and steep singletrack, just be patient and soon the trail rolls over many crazy rock slabs and ends up turning into mega long downhill trip, So good. Keep an eye out for "the dirty crack", a downhill sloping rock ledge ride that is hanging on a cliff side with certain death below if you fall off. Recommended Route: way up svboda road, past the park gate, past the svboda traverse on your right, keep grunting until you pass through a smallish rock outcropping that looms up on either side of the road; road tops out right after this; logjam starts here on the right, and a bit further the epic 'bag' begins on the left; be ready for long flat grind on the old rail grade back to town at the end(about 8km) Other recommended trails in the same area: other epic vertical descents would be

, from Crested Butte, Colorado Summary: My favorite trail in British Colombia. It is strenous and exhilerating. Nothing too bad--well depends on your definition. The trail is simply the best of Nelson. Other recommended trails in the same area: The Vein.
