its a pretty mild trail, some challenging parts, and different ways to go, but they're all pretty tame.

Summary:
Nice climb up a fireroad for 14 km or so with around 4500 feet of elevation, all easily rideable and then somewhat technical singletrack down for 12 or so km. Local riders have put up some very nice little signs at each major junction coming off the road and at a few in the forest. Tons of options for descending on - I would suggest either going with a local or getting the map from Summit Cycle in town. Summit is closed on Sunday and Monday though. One of the best rides I have ever done!

Recommended Route:
Ride up the fireroad for a good cardio workout - traffic is nil on a weekday, plus downhilling always is more fun if you have earned it. Do not bother with riding up to the second summit up the jeeptrack, head straight onto the downhill marked trail 1. You can take hard or harder options on the way down - all junctions are well marked and if not, just stay on the obvious main trail for the easiest way down. If your nose has led you the right way, you will end up in an awesomely bermed gully which deposits you at the rodeo grounds. Short ride back to your vehicle which is parked near the elementary school.

Summary:
I rode this mountain once and fell in love with it. We only went up half way and rode the 3k down, but it was a rush! I unfortunately was on my X-C hardtail, so I couldn't take many drops or anything. There were some defiantely steep spots in the process and a few times, I had to sit way back on my seat, so I wouldn't hit a root and go over the bars. There were plenty of techincal drops and descents, and about half way down there is a man made boardwalk that goes out into the trees and drops you back off onto the trail. The drop is approximately 7 feet. Very Cool! Towards the end, there is some really windy spots were you can really have some fun. Great Descent!

Summary:
STEEP, loose and long! 14 K down is a real bear without good disc brakes, and the steep sections will eat most bikes for breakfast. All of the trails are ridable, but be prepared for tight corners on steep sections, some drops and a lot of loose dirt. Big tires, steep head tubes, good travel and a lowered seat are pre-requsites for this trail (this is where the Mt. 7 Psychosis DH race is held!).

Recommended Route:
Shuttle. Bring at least two cars, the fire road up is 16 K to the top (Hang Glider Launch Pad) and 14 K down on trails (drops out at the base of the fire road heading up). There are several trails on the way up (3K, 5K, 12K and the top) that can be used as a warm up for things to come. Calling this trail "Tame" is a misnomer, it can be very brutal.

Summary:
A short climb, and then it's down. Rocky, rooty, and quite steep, this trail requires strong intermediate skills at least. If you ride with SPD's, maybe tighten them first. There are no flat sections, and clicking back in can be tricky.
There's a fun drop in about half-way down. The trail leading to it is steep, and the drop is easier than it looks. Slow down, but try not to stop and look at it first.
Another drop in further on is pretty much vertical, about nine feet. It's also avoidable, but looked like it would be fun on a FS.
The bottom of the trail is a winding dirt half-pipe formation called 'Snake Trail.' For about a hundred metres you can ride up the side through curves. If you can afford the distraction, look to your side through the curves. It can be disorienting, but It's quite a rush being sideways and still on solid ground.

Recommended Route:
'True Value' starts at the 5 km point of the logging road going up Mt. 7.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Canyon Creek trail for a nice view of the creek 500 feet below.

Summary:
The trail has so steep and drops but not too hard. If you want you can make it a bit harder. I wouldn't go down it with out so other trail experice. There are lots of places where you could lose control. It is a long walk if you get hurt or pop a tire so be prepard.

Recommended Route:
same as other
