Ridden Trail: Once a year

, from The Shore Summary: I am no experience rider - maybe a decent intermediate at best. That said, anyone who is not an experienced rider should not do this trail - especially if it is wet, where it becomes much more slippery than other trails. The first third is not too difficult, but the middle third is a very steep run of switchbacks. I really took my time and didn't see another soul on the trail (it was a busy weekend). Maybe that's because the start is a little hard to find, or maybe it's because not many people like riding it. Too bad, an advanced rider would probably enjoy it - especially the funky ladder/log circular loop at the top (try racing around that!). Recommended Route: Up Seymour to Baden Powell, left on Baden Powell and ride a couple of minutes until you cross Old Buck, then up to entrance to Severed Dick. Down Severed Dick a couple hundred meters - you'll see what might be a trail going right (you'll see a ladder). That's the start. Other recommended trails in the same area: Neds for speed, Corkscrew/Pingu/BoogieMan/Empress for technical, Old Buck/Bridal Path/Baden Powell for cross country.
