Byrne Creek Ravine

Descend down the hillside beside the creek for 2kms. A couple of log drop-offs and a rooty/rocky/smooth trail with a couple of rolling whoops! Fun ride for the beginner/intermediate rider. Ride it before it's gone

Summary:
This is a reminder to all trail blazers its salmon spawning time from Nov. to Jan. so watch your wheels in the creek, in fact avoid the stream all together. Thanx and have a safe ride.

Recommended Route:

Summary:
Its mainly a beginner trail system with some intermediate class trails. All I can say is "explorer it" It's good for a quick after work/school workout if your time is limited. There is about 5 to 8km of trails total that I have found. Some are very overgrown but, fun never the less.

Recommended Route:
I ride along Marine Dr. to Bryne Rd. still heading along Marine I cross to the north side, then take the paved trail. You will see a very steep dirt trail on your left that goes up. That is the beginning of the trailhead.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
ForeShore and Champlain Loop both being strict beginner trails.

This used to be called stride ave pit ..it was a huge sand pit for dominion glass makers since they moved 5 yrs ago housing and aptments have been made as well the pit itself has been removed for a cultisac so housing may be built in there ..the trials do exsist still but ... it will take you from edmonds to marine dr then u have a huge hill to climb back up (street)
I would try it once if you havent

Recommended Route:
This trial is almost gone its beside the skytrian station or beside stride ave ..aka southpoint

Other recommended trails in the same area:

Summary:
A decent trail, if you follow the main trail there is some good beginner/intermediate trails and down hill, lots of higher level small trails (and off trail) if you want to venture into the ravine its self, but be prepaired to carry your bike out. Recent wind storms have blown over a lot of trees onto the trails, watch out on some of the down hill sections...yesterday I came around a corner and a small sapling was down...no problem, just jump over it...but a second sappling lay just beond the first under some freshly blown branches...inches ahead of my front tire when I cleared the first log...and of course, over I went, and encountered the other threat, very thorny Boison Berry vines...I landed right in the middle of a buch of them and scrapped the h*ll out of my legs. Watch for them all through the trails, they leave nasty scratches on legs and arms. (they don't hurt too bad when they happen, but an hour or so later they give you a "nice" burning sensation) Once the majority of the recently fallen trees have been moved asside, and asside from the occasional thorn scrapes (or hundred, as I did yesterday), I recomend any one living neer the Edmonds sky train station to check it out, a good place to head after work, to work out your stress. I would give 4 stars, but those damn thorns realy pissed me off yesterday, so it gets 3 today. ;-) Shorty :P

Recommended Route:
Several entry points off of the 7-11 trails just behind the Edmonds Sky Train Station

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Don't know what it is called, but there ate some Trails on the other side of Kingsway, on the west side of Edmonds St. OK beginer/intermediate trails, and if you like FAST down hill, find the powerlines around there and there is an ausome (high speed) downhill trail under the power lines over there. But be careful, there is a steel cable across the trail right at the botom, I lamost killed myself going down there the first time.
