Orange Trail at Apex Mountain Resort

Lung-burning climb, up to about 7000 feet, old doubletrack mining roads, then to awesome, technical singletrack through trees, creeks, scree. Hats off to Johnny Slam at Apex for a great job of trailbuilding.
Ride up Powerline Trail above the upper parking lot, take the Apex Proper Trail up the backside of Beaconsfield Mountain, follow the signs, turn left at the fork, follow the signs down the bowl below Apex Proper, a stunning sight, until you reach the treeline, then turn left into the trees when you see the sign.
Summary: You gotta remember that I'm a dog and not too good at typing on computers, but I must say that my master seems to enjoy the downhill after the long painful climb up to the summit. Lots of good places to sniff, crap, and pee. I give this trail 5 steaming dog landmines.
