Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Courtenay Summary: This is a great trail for the old boys gettin' back into it. Lots of fast single track and different technical woops. There are basic obstacles to improve on gradually such as logs and the odd hit, which are avoidable should you wimp out the first few rides by. It is really accessible and hard to get lost in. Basically the trail of choice for the Comox crowd looking to improve on balance and all out thrashing of your new bike and old body (should you choose). It has lots of potential in the developement end which will happen eventually with a shovel and some initiative from riders looking to make a home course. I was stoked to find it and I look forward to adding some ramps. Recommended Route: Highland school on Prichard, hook a right, pass the paranoid highschool kids smokin' gag and into the trees. Other recommended trails in the same area: Nae.

, from Comox Summary: I'm a beginner, and I found this is a very good place to ride is your just starting out. But you'll soon find the trails easy if you ride them a lot. I'm going to try the trails in Courtney and see if the Woods compare. Recommended Route: Right behind Highland Secondary, very easy to find. Just ask someone they'll tell you gladly. Other recommended trails in the same area: No other place to ride in Comox. Go to Courtney

, from Rome, NY Summary: This is a fun place to ride, right in the city, easy to get to and you can't get lost unless you try really, really hard. The place is pretty flat, has minimal elevation changes all of them are very slight grades. A few interesting obstacles and some man-made bridges/ramps that are pieces of metal siding. These are easy to ride, they have a lip on both sides of the ramp, but very slippery (especially when wet, which is most of the time). The trails at The Lake are much better but if you don't have the time this is fun. Recommended Route: Same as the other reviewers Other recommended trails in the same area: Comox Lake

, from Comox Valley Summary: A real bowl of spaghetti. Single-track galore in a small area, minimal elevation change, the few huge obstacles( mostly logs )are scattered about. It's an area on a large slanted plane, so the usual plan is to pick a trail ( any trail! ) and wind your way gently down to the bottom and then ride the access roads back up to the parking lot, start again! Pretty easy single-track mostly, with a trials-like playground at the bottom, in the middle somewhere, not too hard to find. There's a really silly, fun time-trials race here every year in August. Recommended Route: It's behind Highland School, ask anyone, they'll help you find it. Other recommended trails in the same area: It's kind of a self contained unit
