Industrial Disease
3 reviews
4.33 of 5
Thrill Ride, Adrenaline Rush, Hold on Tight are only a few of the phrases good enough to be used to describe Industrial Disease. This heart pounding descent is a definite must off of Sprout Mountain in the Beautiful Whistler Valley.
Ride to the top of the Flank Trail. (see Flank Trail reviewed earlier) Access to Industrial Disease is on the left hand side of the Flank Trail if you are riding from North to South. It is difficult to find and not clearly marked so I would recommend one of Whistler's experienced and knowledgable guides. This is an amazing descent.
Summary: Great trail but it's only a 1000 vertical not 2500.

Summary: Some cool little slick rock descents and drops, hint. Not at all like Moab, if its wet u usually dont stop, some fun switches, and a couple really steep sections, get your but on the rear tire, but kinca misses a good "flow" because you end up pushing up a lot of it, meets up with the bottom part of Danimal for a quick zip back down to alta lake road.Cardio then cringe..intermidiate to experts.
Recommended Route: I ride it from a trail up behind the deli in function,( millar creek deli?),up,up,up and up. Great cardio, but you may be pushing a heavier bike. First trail up on the right, by some small granite cliffs, then up and down until the lower part of Danimal.
Other recommended trails in the same area: kill me thrill me, danimal, sh#t happens, cut yer bars, river runs through it
