, from San Francisco CA Summary: Some steeep climbs here, as well as descents but mostly wide groomed singletrack with some loose rock here and there. Watch for hikers. Good run. Recommended Route: I came in on some cool little single track from crossing Alta Road after leaving one of the River Runs Through It sections, which connected to Whip Me Snip Me and then the Flank Sproat Trail until it changes into Flank...I think that's the correct nameage. Other recommended trails in the same area: A River Runs Through It, Demonstration Forest

, from whistler Summary: The flank trail is long climb, great views, with mellow descent great for intermediate rider with good set of lungs. All the hardtail hammerheads this ones for you. Recommended Route: cemetary to cafe Other recommended trails in the same area: There is a couple of techincal decsents of the flank which makes the climb worth while for the riders that enjoy the adreniline rush of steep comitment lines but you will have to find someone to take you there that has confidence in your riding ability because they are not for the fait of heart. Danimal is a great xc single track which runs almost parallel but lower on the mountain just above westside road.

Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Whistler Summary: This trail is definitely not for the faint of heart. It starts out with a good long uphill ride. Around 35-40 minutes. Once you get on to the trail itself its all pretty smooth single track. Once the uphill is over the descent is fantastic. You can see everything from the top of the flank trail, Whistler's 5 lakes, Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains as well as Mount Curry and the Arm Chair Glacier. The Black Tusk is not to far away either. You can also access alot of other excellent trails from the flank. Industrial Disease (Steeeeep Downhill Descent), Diary of a Madman (for lunatics only), Danimal (good descent) If you are a devoted rider the Flank Trail is a must in Whistler. Swing by Fanatykco for a map or experienced guide. Recommended Route: See above. Other recommended trails in the same area: Industrial Disease, Diary of a Madman, Danimal...to many to list
