Summary:
NB I have never ridden this trail cos it is NOT A BIKING TRAIL.
I have hiked it of course up past Lillian to the Galatea lakes.
Next, whoever listed this is an ignorant *****.
It is GALATEA.
Not guduhduuuuhhh or however they spelt it!
If I am hiking this trail and I see a bike, I might fantasise about clotheslining the mother, popping the tires and giving the gusset of their shorts a dose of bear-spray. Imagine the fun on the legal hike back!

There is another trail starting from this trailhead that is open to bikes. Terrace Trail which parallels the W side of highway up to Ribbon Creek. Go right after crossing the bridge. That is a better ride than Galatea would be anyway, so only an idiot would illegally ride Galatea instead of having some fun on Terrace. If you want more of a challenge, then go to Jewell Pass + Prairie View.

Recommended Route:
NONE. DO NOT RIDE GALATEA. Closed to bikes. Ride Terrace.
Or Jewell Pass + Prairie View if you are technical and fit.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Terrace. Combine w Bill Milne bike path from Ribbon to Wedge then ride up the highway a short way to Galatea trailhead, cross bridge and head right onto the Terrace Trail back to Ribbon.
Or do Jewell Pass + Prairie View if you are technical and fit.
No need or excuse for selfishly chewing up other trails. There is a reason bikes are not allowed on some of them. And if bikers abuse trails then their reputation will suffer and more and more trails will be closed to them.
I love to ride, but I respect trails and trail closures. If you want to do Galatea, get you hiking boots on, maybe grab a fishing rod and leave the bike at home!

Summary:
Frankly Ryan I know that the trail is off limits to bikes and I dont give a shit and Im pretty sure most of the people around that area really dont care because I see bikers on the trail all the time due to the fact that it is fun but not hard so any intermediate biker can do the whole thing easyly while still taking in some awsome scenery and taking some harder parts if he/she feels so inclined to do so and trust me you will

Recommended Route:
see what i wrote before

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Moose Mountain, Terras Trail

Summary:
It's a nice hiking trail, but, unless I'm very much mistaken, it's closed to bikes. Yes, I know, I SHOULDN'T be, but it is. Let's not piss off the powers that be, lest we get banned from even more trails. If I recall, it would make a nice ride, if it was open to bikes.

Recommended Route:
My recommended route is to avoid this trail!

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Baldy Pass, Prairie View, Jewel Pass.
