Summary:
The Akamina Pass trail is pretty wide because it used to be a road. Unfortunately it is a low mountain pass and there are no great panoramic views unless you are into looking at trees from ground level. Still, it's a good climb that's hard enough to be a workout but easy enough to be fun. Once over the ridge into BC the trail starts levelling out a bit and there are some fun rollers. After the trail branches off to Wall Lake, the riding is fantastic. Twisty, smooth, and fast through the trees. The faster you go the more fun you'll have, but watch out for hikers. Wall Lake is really pretty too and the fishing there is fantastic. Get back to your car the same way you came up, and have fun bombing the trail all the way down. Some of the corners have bridges and loose rock on them that can be sketchy at times. Really, my only complaint about this trail is that it's not long enough.

Recommended Route:
Start at the Akamina Pass trailhead on the Cameron Valley Parkway. The trail to Wall Lake branches off to the left about 2 Km in, after you cross over into BC and right after you cross the first major creek.

Summary:
this trail was supposed to be cool, but, its not cool when you go there and after the first 1.5km, its covered by two to three feet of snow; and that was june 19th. but the downhill after being forced to turn around was fun.

Recommended Route:
i recommend not riding this trail until mid july or august.

we took the one that kinda follows the road back down. it was really good. fast, technical and altogether enjoyable, except that it was short. oh yeah and it's hell on bikes, especially konas cause the frames have a tendency to break.hahaha - 3 flamin moes cause i see potential here, but ask around to see if the trail is clear or not.

Summary:
My girlfriend & I rode this trail last summer, and brought overnight gear to stay the weekend. It was an extra special trip, because we were the last campers to stay overnight in Wall Lake. It's now closed for camping due to high bear activity. So, there we were, the only people for miles and miles. We saw no bears, but ate lunch with a family of deers, and ran into many elk. Wall Lake is breathtaking, and even though you can't stay overnight anymore, go for the day, and enjoy the amazing silence, the animals, the beautiful backdrop!

hey, take the Crypt Lake trail while in Waterton. It's rated the third best hike in Canada. You won't believe it!
