, from Tarulli Summary: Starting from Old Fort Point rather than from the parking lot off of highway 16 will allow you to ride the majority of the trail free from hikers (most hikers start from the other side). Expect some technical uphills about an hour into the trail. Full suspension bikes are the way to go for most of the root layden downhills. Be sure to stop for a snack beside the lakes. The view from the trail allows for brilliant greenish-blue lake vistas. Slow down and expect hikers nearing the end of the trail. Intermediate level riders will likely have to dismount at least 4 times. Advanced riders should feel comfortable hopping over fallen trees and descending (sometimes)treacherous declines. Recommended Route: Start at Trail One (Old Fort Point. You will have to carry your bike up the stairs from the bridge.

, from Sydney Australia Summary: Finally I got to ride this trail , smooth and fast in sections, bumby with little drop offs in others. Little chutes and fun stuff , and AWESOME scenery. Watch out for bears , came over a hill and locked up face to face with a balck bear at 15 ft, glad it wasn't a mother and cubs. It took off at an amazing pace thank god Recommended Route: Can't exactly recall , but started at a road bridge and went in from there, then back along the road due to failing light.

, from Edmonton, AB Summary: Starts out as a walking trail, and then gives you a sneak preview of what is to come - some good roller coaster riding. There are some sweet speedy parts, 9C towards the end has some serious root section that's slippery when wet, all in all on of the top few trails in the Jasper area. I'll ride it again and again. Good enough to entertain accomplished riders, and my gf sort of enjoyed it too - even on only her 2nd outing of the season. Recommended Route: If you're only doing one direction, head to the south entry, and ride back to old fort road, then you can road ride back to the parking lot (I camped at Wapiti and rode from there)

, from Sydney, Australia Summary: it was a sad day I visited these lakes , I was in a Trek America tour group and had to walk it. Save for some running and pretending I had my bike bumpin off roots and shooting little down hill chutes. a school group came by, and nearly lost one of their number with a coat hanger (head high arm swingin tackle)from a ride starved aussie. quick down hills , smooth trails , interesting lines if you look for them and fan-bloody -tastic scenery. The good news I comin back in August , will review on return, RATED by memoery and potential Recommended Route: pretty much keep going left Other recommended trails in the same area: not same but outside of Banff there a "secret "network of trails that 's easy to find if you go out of tourist zone
