Ridden Trail:
Once a year

Reviewed by: K & A , from Edson, AB

Summary:
First Km from 6th bridge is flat and rooty - not enjoyable then up into the woods and the fun begins through heavily wooded forests, stretches through the old Moberly Homesteading area is a nice break. Beautiful crossing of a couple spring creeks - fill your water bottle up there. Then the climbs begin - lots of sidehill with some loose rock and spectacular views of the valley and river. There is a killer climb up and steep downhill through a burned area. Last 5-6 kms are good with sidehills and some technical areas. Overall lots of fun. Bring lots of water. Intermediate riders due to the steep areas (read - Loooong falls down the side of the Mt.).

Recommended Route:
Both ways, but coming from Hwy 16 is the most fun.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Trail 7 from Jasper Park Lodge or Old Fort Point. Trail 8 starting right behind the Aquatic centre in Jasper.

Ridden Trail:
Once a month

Summary:
A short climb with your bike then a "sweet as" single
track of approximatly 18kms to the 6th bridge at the bottom of Maligne Canyon. Beautiful balcony views of the valley plus ridable rockie sections( if your balls are big enough!!!) Save some energy for the fast section at the end. Make sure you save your guts for the climb up KING hill.... the view at the top is worth "one million dollars"

Recommended Route:
shuttle out east on h/way 16 to just after crossing the Athabasca river. If you want a longer ride then bugger the shuttle and tuck your head between your knees and start cranking

Other recommended trails in the same area:
VICIOUS CYCLE group rides on wednesday nights- they leave the shop at 7pm, valley of the five lakes, wabasso lake, trail 7 for the lazy days, mina/riley lake loop, signal mtn,

Ridden Once

Reviewed by: RINO , from Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Summary:
Nice trail sidehill singletrack most of the way with great views 90 % rideable due to some rocky sections on the sidehill. Loop back on the highway to feel the acid in your legs after riding the trail fast. Great trail in the loop about 30 km

Recommended Route:
As described, looping via the highway back to the 5th bridge parking area

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Pallisades, Valley of vife lakes, Snake indian falls (just for the falls).
