Ridden Trail: Once a week

, from Canmore Summary: Excellent trail, good workout if you hammer the climb at the beggining. I once turned it into the beginning of a great 8 hour ride. Like I said lots of trails in the area. Recommended Route: Jewel Pass, then wherever you wanna go form there. There's tonnes of riding in K-Country. This trail is alot closer to Canmore than Calgary! Other recommended trails in the same area: Almost anything around Canmore or Banff

Ridden Trail: Once a month
| |
Reviewed by: Summary: This trail is as difficult as you make it. A beginner could make a day trip out of this and easily walk the difficult sections, although good brakes might prevent injury. Elite riders will have no trouble cleaning it in under two hours. This is one of my favorite rides in the area as it combines fitness requirments with fast, somewhat technical descending. The trail will be muddy in a few areas if it's been wet, but the climbs have good drainage so they're usually in good condition.
Recommended Route: As described here and in Back Country Cycling in the Canadian Rockies.
