Weekend Warrior Summary: This is a provincial park that is not really maintained anymore. The trail is cross country at its finest, lots of roots and off camber traverses. Really difficult climbs but not long ones. The downhills are friendly to most people except a few require some decent riding skills(no substantial ledges but they require contol) theres maybe one or two that neophytes should walk. You will hear people say that this is not good mtb and that it is too flat, too smooth etc etc ignore those comments and go ride it for yourself. if you read between the lines it says rolling hills and flowy trails. Lived here all my life and didn't ride this trail because of the nay sayers and man were they ever wrong. Recommended Route: take a saturday and do it all. It is clearly marked you can't get lost. I like the kelly creek trail....it has crater hollows that have worn down into a series of rollers and doubles that are small enough for anyone but fun for everyone.....just pump a few and then let fly when you think you can clear the gap. Other recommended trails in the same area: all the trails around here have their time and place most are a little short for a weekend ride, you can get 2 hours of riding out of them but not much more. The claudie and woolastook have the potential for all day riding.
