Moo Bong Temple

A few roller coasters hills with steep climbs and decents. Lots of sharp rocks with wide sweeping turns. Tree stupms galore. Awesome DH stuff, XC riding is tough. Nothing technical.

Summary:
This trail is all rideable. It is rather short I suggest riding it both directions so you can take advantage of the good climbs and downhills. If you are going to be at Osan or are already there this is a good spot to ride.

Recommended Route:
There is a big sign with a map of the trails on it. One trail head is across the street from the sign, there is a wood bridge across a binjo ditch to it. The other trail head is by the first building of the moobong Mtn youth camp ride up the dirt road that goes in front of the building. The front of the building has steep steps in front of it. go up the hill and the trail head is by a couple of shacks straight ahead.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brown Mtn. Mr Pocks bike shop, he carrys good bikes and parts and does excellent work.

Summary:
This trail has an initial unrideable several hundred foot climb. So steep there are ropes strung through the trees to hang on to. Once at the top you will work your way down through several steep downhills and turns. There are several side trails that lead to local villages and view points. It's not a long trail but one you shouldn't miss just for the photo ops at the temple. It's more suited for a good hike rather than ride. Once at the end you can see the River bridge you crossed to get there, end it here or double back and try to break a chain on the 3 killer climbs.

Recommended Route:
Once you've been there using posted directions you will see it's pretty easy. Next time try meandering through the rice paddie roads to avoid automobile road traffic.

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Brown Mountain, AKA K-2 or Triple Threat
