Keep on going past the cementry until you get to a catchwater, turn right. About 200 yards take a left up the hill and over a bridge. Summary:
One of my favourite rides - shame it has to be illegal.
Most annoying it is illegal. Does it REALLY need to be illegal??????

Recommended Route:
Join the same trail from HKG side. Climb the Peak by going up Hatton Path (starts Conduit/Po Shan Rd. At Peak Cafe, turn right onto road. Up to traffic lights,
under bridge and turn right at Police Station. Come down Peel Rise (yup, its illegal from here on in!) and remember to stop as soon as you see the sign post and picnic area on your right. Head left into the woods. This ride can be cut short half way through (go up the road after dropping down steps to a bridge) or can continue by heading into woods, right turn after bridge. If continuing, turn right at pagoda after coming up steps and you will hit a long section of storm drain. Follow for about 2km until you see path on right into another wooded section (not very bike-friendly!) - if you come to a tunnel you've kinda gone too far, although you can also get out of this section from there. Once out onto main road, take Shouson Hill down to Ocean Park, turn left onto main road and head on out to Stanley for a TOP days biking and a bucket of beer!!!!

Summary:
sure it's illegal.
but it's a lot closer than Dragon's Back
(which is worth the trek no less)

Other recommended trails in the same area:
Dragon's Back (go straight not up at the signpost going up!)
